CONFIRM YOUR JOURNEY TO MOTHERHOOD

A homemade pregnancy test is easily available and inexpensive. Particularly for the women who cannot avail the ready to use pregnancy kit from the market, these tests can be of great help. They are time-tested, and one can rely on the results. They help in the indication of pregnancy at home. They do not have acomplicated method and the same time you don’t need the doctor to go and see a doctor. These DIY tests do not give accurate results in the early stages of pregnancy as they are only based on the reaction of urine with some ingredient. Hence, it is always advisable to visit a gynecologist.

However, certain things should be kept in mind while performing these tests.

  1. During pregnancy, the HCG level in the blood increases and pregnancy can be detected through a blood test. Most of the homemade pregnancy tests use only the urine sample. In order to get the accurate results, it is advisable to use the early morning urine sample as that is more concentrated. One can rely on the result of this test.
  2. Precautions should be taken while using ingredients like bleaching powder as it has a very strong smell.
  3. In order to get accurate results, use the right ingredients in their right proportion.
  4. These tests are not scientific methods so you should consult a doctor after you have confirmed pregnancy from one of these methods.

Some of the homemade pregnancy tests are:

  • Pregnancy test with peroxide and telynol mix
  • Pregnancy test with soap
  • Pregnancy test with salt
  • Pregnancy test with shampoo
  • Pregnancy test with wheat
  • Pregnancy test with peroxide and telynol mix

For this test, add equal quantities of peroxide and telynol in a clean container. Add the urine sample to this mix. Wait for a few minutes for a reaction to take place. If the urine changes color, it indicates that you’re pregnant. If the mixture remains as it is, it means that you are not pregnant.

  • Soap pregnancy test

Collect your urine sample in a container as you get up. Take a piece of soap and pour the urine sample on it or you can directly urinate on the soap. If the soap forms bubbles, it indicates that your journey of motherhood has begun and the test is positive. And if the bubbles are not formed, it means that the result is negative.

  • Pregnancy test with salt

For this test, take urine in acontainer and add salt to it. If the salt turns like a white cheese, then you’re pregnant.

  • Pregnancy test with shampoo

For this test, you will need the urine sample and any shampoo. Get your urine in a container and pour it on the shampoo or directly urinate on the shampoo. If the shampoo lathers on the addition of urine, it means that you are pregnant and if no bubbles are produced means that the test is negative and you are not pregnant.

  • Pregnancy test with wheat

In a bowl, add some barley seed. Pour your urine in this bowl. If the seeds sprout, then the test is positive.
